Been on the fence about building up a BCM gun, between this, and what they did for chief, I'm convinced they deserve my coin.
    Dont sweat the small stuff.

First Look at BCM's NEW M4 Upper Receiver

Grant, any chance you will offer custom upper builds only using this receiver? I've already a couple BCM lowers laying around.

Of course the billet stuff doesn't fit everything - almost all billet products stray from mil-spec designs and dimensions.
Shoot my Noveske forged G2 lower is one of worst fitting pieces in my collection. It's actually sitting in a drawer right now, with its tax stamp.

I'm am talking about their forged products (uppers and lowers) which I mentioned multiple times.
Again, find me a single reference to anything not fitting their forged products.

The second link you posted was about tight barrel fit on a forged upper. They are tight, on purpose. That's a good thing and it is exactly what BCM is trying to do with this new upper! LOL!
So be prepared for some threads about tight barrel fit with BCM's new upper.

Incorrect. MEGA was producing forged parts years before the billet stuff came out. That's what put them on the map.

Their billet stuff is what gave them the reputation, good or bad, among the TOS kids.
Back to my question, what specs do they follow (whether forging or billet)? All they say is "better than mil-spec." That leaves a lot of questions.

A tight fitting barrel to receiver is a good thing. If you cannot get the barrel into the receiver, that is a BAD thing. So there is a difference.

Wow talks about SERIOUS thread drift. Leave the Mega vs BCM vs Noveske's comparisons to dedicated threads. Don't like BCM and dont think its a good step for their business to make custom uppers instead of buying OEM them don't send them any of your money.

Personally, I like the fact that a name like BCM. Has begun to question the OEM marketplace. In the end it's going to end up being a good thing for all of us. Those OEM's are going to need to improve if they want their business back. That is a good thing for the AR market.

Thread clean up completed. This thread is about a new BCM product. If you are not interested in it, keep your opinions to yourself. This is your warning.

Personally, I was hoping this would be BCM's answer as I have been completely pleased with all my BCM products as have the customers I've gotten them for!

Grant, I sent you an email! Now I just have to get a new BCM lower from you too!
