That is why I didn't want the exps model over the xps model. I wanted absolute co-witness since I change from a magnified optic to the eotech regularly. The absolute co-witness allows me to verify the zero by referencing the buis. I put the gg&g wd mount on since I couldn't find any other qd absolute co-witness options.

You can verify zero by referencing your irons with lower 1/3 also.

I don't believe that the EXPS2 is on the same chassis as the EXPS3. The performance specs, such as waterproofing, are different. A cheaper choice without NV would be the OPMOD. That's the same chassis for sure. When I pulled mine apart to have the hood Cerakoted, I found the EXPS3 NV button, but it was disabled.

Same way. Dot on the post.

I use a magnifier with my lower-third RDSs all the time.

I noticed my 552 always sits to the left of my front sight post. No idea why or what it means. Was kind of a pain to zero it too.
    Yes, I like pretty ponies.

It's the same sight picture as absolute except the dot & irons cowitness in the lower 1/3 of the RDS.

For me, I have to move my head position slightly to get them to line up, but its not an issue since I don't shoot it that way obviously.

I wasn't aware of that. Thank you for the information.

Great concept, poor design and execution.

I've owned a 512 for about 6 years. Its been back to the factory 4 times for failure. 2 for battery contact issues 2 for the common "delamination" issue. L3's customer service is wonderful and turnaround has always been less than 2 weeks, but I wouldn't stake my life on that optic.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but get an Aimpoint.
