The double chrome lining would be far down the list of my concerns when considering a barrel. That said, I do have a few. It wasn't because I was seeking that feature though. Of the barrels you mentioned, I have several from BCM, PSA and Spikes. All have been good performers. Not sure how anyone can state that Spikes doesn't offer a good barrel. Simply is not the case. I have FN and Lothar Walther barrels from Spikes and they are of very good quality.
Back to the chrome lining. I'd place more value on being hammer forged than 2x chrome. Even that extra can be debated though. I have standard and hammer forged. Single and double chrome. All great. More concerned with keeping them fed with ammo. lol! It's up to the end user whether its worth the money or not for the features. So far no glaring advantage has jumped out at me. Maybe it will. There is a point of diminishing returns I think.
Also Spikes, PSA, DD, and BCM barrels are not the same. They are made to the companies specs.
To answer the other posters question to why I steer clear of Spikes... because I do. Personal preferance. I use BCM and DD barrels for my CFH barrels. I personally don't care if FN makes some peoples barrels. Not all hammer forged barrels are equal, and by no means the same, from design, manufacturing, etc. Yes, there are also diff ways to hammer forge barrels, and many diff size possible gas ports etc.

From TOS ... "buy the shit out of that thing, all the mil spec is just nonsense."
Can someone 100% confirm that BCM BFH barrels are made by FN?
They're either made by DD or FN cause I seriously doubt they source them through the remaining two.
^^ I think he was referring to Psa & Spike
On another subject, earlier post mentioned that Psa port > BCM port
If in spec, would a larger port be "better" since it would still run with lower pressure ammo (ie 223 or wolf)?
My first post - be kind
