The actions of a companies president matters. Some people do not care for the owner.

I would take a ST gun over a DPMS, BM, Oly, Armalite, RRA, etc. I would not take them over any of the more known quality AR's (Colt, KAC, BCM, DD, Noveske, etc).

I've had zero malfunctions with my Spikes middy upper. And I can't tell a difference when comparing the specs to the preferred manufacturers. I saved some $ when I compared it to the other brands. Although I do agree that their logos could afford to be more subdued. But why should a logo stop anyone from a quality product? I'm happy with it but I do sense some eye rolls when others see its not BCM, DD, etc.

They cater to the zombie/dirt shooter crowd. Lame emblems and logos plastering all their whares.

IMO that is fine, it's just not a serious brand with serious use guns. They seemed to have directed all attention to supporting their 3 gun team and catering to the 3gun crowd with all these new parts they working on. Balsy moves as they are now competing with JP and some other companies who take gaming guns extremely serious. (same realm price wise, so not really a Stag competitior in the price range ordeal).

Like said it's fine they do, it's just not loved by many here. Too much gimmicky crap, too many knockoffs of other brands. Their new Charging handle they are designing/making is basically a direct knock off of the Rainier CH because rainer would not play ball with Spikes. Don't think Rainier wanted to associate themselves with a company like Spikes, as Rainier has beem trying to make a stand up name for themselves. But Just IMO, I don't have any insight into why it fell thru
From TOS ... "buy the shit out of that thing, all the mil spec is just nonsense."

Similar to how people feel about LaRue and his hi-jinx.

I do not like how Tom (Spike) carries himself on TOS. He's his own biggest cheerleader and he says things like "I got 600 new products coming out this year and they are going to BLOW YOU AND EVERONE ELSE AWAY! No one will even come close to what I'm doing!!"

And then a giant tidal wave of suck-sounding posts ensue within his sub-forum.

How about... shut up and let the market decide? Answer questions and show new products, but try to refrain a little about how awesome they are, ok?

I really don't see our favorite brands doing this.

Larue, on the other hand, makes REALLY nice stuff, but he will call your ass out over there, and it's so low brow and catty.

ST has some decent stuff too. Hardly apples and oranges. They both have their shenanigans on various forums that push people away.

You have to be careful at just looking at specs. BM will be the first to tell you that they make a "mil-spec" gun.

The fact that Spikes can offer matching quality specs at a somewhat lower price point did concern me when I bought it back in 2012. But I took a chance and it hasn't let me down. Do I want a BCM, Noveske, DD? You bet I do....especially the new BCM KMR ELW upper. But I don't regret my Spikes upper. It does everything that my buddy's DD and Noveske does. Annoying logo and all. Would I get another Spikes? I dont know. Especially when a BCM upper is priced competitively. But if you don't like the owners antics and don't want to support him I completely understand.
Back to the OP, these sights don't do anything for me. The fact you have to screw in the different aperture seems too impractical as far as I'm concerned.
