Thank you for the review. I am stuck between a red dot or a low power scope so maybe one of these will tell me whether I'll want a red dot or a scope.

I like lower power variable scopes myself. The reason for a red dot on this rifle was to meet the division requirements of Limited in three gun. If your serious about a scope Primary Arms has a 1-6 that they are improving right now and should be released in the next few months. Stay tuned.

This won't replace an Aimpoint T1 for a serious user but for someone on a budget its a good deal. I am using it on a three gun rifle and its also my truck gun. Will keep you guys up dated with how it holds up.

Pat, have you tried the mini version that mimics a T1? I got one of these for my son's gun and it pretty good but a little dark. any first hand comparison?..

Yes they are good sights as well. I have owned several. Down side is they are not quite as bright as I would like them to be. But still a good value.

thanks. I have one on a "trainer" rifle and that jives with my experience. pretty hard to beat for $75/incl mount...
