If you want the tail of the bolt to just wipe clean, A proper application of Fireclean will achieve exactly that with ANY bolt..
My brother saw Deliverance and bought a Bow. I saw Deliverance and bought an AR-15.

lol i must have missed out on something. Oh well. I didnt realize other people knew how to spend my money better than me. I only have and really want 1 AR, so im not sure on the purpose of 2 BCG's.

People with more BCG's than rifles are similar to those silly folks who have a spare tire even though they only own one car.

It's not one of the chosen brands so it MUST be slammed. Never mind if it's good, or not, based on actual performance. Slam it.

No it isn't. It is the typical shit staking that goes across the screw heads, instead of pushing a larger portion of key metal into the screw head from the sides.

Explain to me why colt staking is the better staking. Please use legitimate data present from bcg's that have comparable staking to the Salient product, as well as bolt carriers that use colt style staking. Not "its better" or "Its whats used by the military". I would like hard facts that PROVE that the style of staking that Salient does is insufficient and inferior.

He's correct in saying that top chisel staking sucks. It looks like Salient did some kind of weird hybrid smack on it. Personally, I think it is displacing enough metal into the screw from the side based on the pictures. I think they should probably revise and refine their method of staking keys though.

TiN has its place. But it IS NOT on an AR bolt group. TiN offers no corrosion protection. A buddy had a TiN carrier that rusted badly just from humidity. Wasn't exposed to rain or anything.... just the humidity in his house.

I think TiN is used on rifle buttons.... in that realm the button is constantly soaked in cutting/machining oils.
