While its not a crazy high round count, since the time of the first post i have put about 1,200 more rounds through it. Standard Federal XM193 and American Eagle XM855. The rounds were split up between a few range trips and other than a quick exterior rag wipe after each i have not cleaned it till yesterday. As expected, the whole unit was dirty and the bolt "tail" took a little more elbow grease than the rest but the majority of it came off with relative ease, though its definitely not the reason to purchase the BCG if you think its a magical cleaning coating. In shooting, I have experienced 0 failures, and the rifle still cycles very smooth. The exterior still looks brand new, with the exception of a small amount of wear on the bottom where the hammer contacts. I am still very happy with the unit, and if you're interested, there are pictures below.

I personally think that you should buy whatever BCG you want knowing what the facts are. Many folks who buy stuff like this are not aware of the facts so I think some on this forum jump on folks who buy BCGs with unusual coatings.

From your pictures the BCG looks like it is wearing well. I do believe that a phosphate coating that holds lubrication better is preferable. I'm one of those guys that always buys BCM BCGs and spare bolts, but if its a hobby why not try something different. I think you may have paid too much but that is my opinion.

    Thanks for posting pics.

And some may. There are plenty of high end BCG's that will run flawlessly. Rainier, BCM, BRO, etcetc. Theres alot of companies and all that does is push the market forward and there are absolutely nothing wrong with them. I just have the ability to post updates of this particular one because its what im currently running, and most are not sure of how it will wear or perform over time.

Since I only own real USGI BCGs, I don't have to worry about if the bolt is made from cheaper and weaker 9310 or 8620 steel and will shear lugs off after 1500 rounds.

I also don't have to worry about substandard gas rings, ejector and extractor springs, Ti firing pins, gas key staking or any of that bullshit either.

The Ti finish is specifically placed on BCGs for cosmetics to get dumb shits to buy them after they see the "yellow titanium finish"
    You're kind of an ass.

Considering how thin those coatings are it looks great, like there is barley any wear at all. I've wondered about the salient bolts for a little while. Keep us updated as you put more rounds on it.

Until we know the specs, how can you say that? Yes, the tini coating probably isn't the best choice, but it does look good and every other product SAI seems to be very well reviewed.

Would you please explain what this statement is based on?
