Endur, Thanks for all the info you provided yesterday regarding the issue with the alignment. It really helped us dissect the problem and gave us the opportunity to audit our complete quality system, from design to manufacturing.
Even though your satisfied with your part, I'd like to send a replacement we've confirmed is to spec and get yours back for analysis. We make the mount, but purchase the KeyMod feet and fasteners for all our KeyMod products from a supplier in the industry which makes KeyMod rails.
We stopped CNC production about 150 parts into our current run to verify our SPC measurements were to print. They were. We also measured current inventory as well as the samples we keep from the first and subsequent lot and they all were within the +- .002" tolerance we designed of a critical measurement, the one that aligns the hole in the mount with the hole in the keymod rail. Kincel's published spec's may be used by everyone making KeyMod rails, or may not be, but we hope so. The challenge we've faced since we launched four years ago is making IWC parts fit other peoples parts, without knowing what range of dimensional tolerance they hold, or if they change their product after we make and launch ours. With this in mind, we have to build in tolerances to accommodate a varying unknown range used by other companies. We have .015" tolerance built into the measurement controlling hole alignment between the rail and our KeyMod Mounts we make; Light, Bipod, Hand Stop and QD Sling Mount. In combination with the feet, so far, this range has worked across all the mounts we've sold. The Sling Mount is the most critical, as hole alignment makes it function as designed. SilverBullet's pics and other's commenting in this thread, along with the ton we've sold are a good example of how the part fits. Yours experience is not.
So we would like to have your part back to evaluate. Please email me at:
