On the end of the rail so I push forward, not pull back.
Got the KAG installed tonight. This may be the first handstop that will actually work for me.
Also, I swapped my mini Scout on a KAC mount over to the left side and back to the 3&4 slots so that it is even with the end of the rail. It just barely clears the MBUS Pro, but it doesn't touch. There's enough space to see daylight and slip a business card between the light & front sight.

I don't understand the logic of the handstop. I guess I'll have to try one out.
Thanks Mark. I really like the 14.5 midlength ELW. This one has everything I need and nothing I don't. The more I shoot it the more I like it. Very soft shooter & very lightweight. In fact, I've barely taken my beloved SR15 out of the safe since I got the BCM.
I tried other handstops out last year and they just didn't work for me. I felt like I just couldn't get enough rearward pressure on the gun and I don't use a thumb-over c-clamp grip. The KAG on the other hand, has enough meat on it for me to actually grip it in a similar fashion as a stubby vfg with a hybrid grip.
