So you're looking for a tooless design?

Yes - I think tooless is in the spirit of QD. I love my Arisaka scout mounts, but install/removal requires unscrewing the scout rear tailcap assembly to access one of the allen bolt heads, so definitely not QD

Are you wanting to move the light from gun to gun? I ask because I never take my weapon lights off, once mounted. I specifically do this to make sure I never grab a gun with no light on it.

Very glad you like the mounts.

The reason you have to remove the tail cap is a side effect of trying to keep the mount as short as possible. I suppose we could make it an inch longer so you don't have to remove the tail cap, but you'd still need an Allen wrench to loosen the screws.

We have been experimenting with several QD designs for KeyMod. So far it has been extremely difficult to keep it low profile because you have to be able to adjust the tension on the specific handguard you're using. Plus, it's pretty much impossible to apply the same QD design to M-Lok due to the way that system functions. We try to keep mount designs similar across both interfaces to help reduce manufacturing costs.

We'll keep plugging away at it.

When I saw that I instantly thought it was an awesome way to conserve space and have a cool design features.

Does anyone have direct experience with how keymod accessories have held up on the B5 systems handguard? There was talk it would be a weaker mounting option. Just wanted to see if anyone had tested that?
