    SBR Build

Finally received the stamp after waiting about 10 months. The wait was a little longer than I thought it would be but apparently the Government shutdown did not help.

    Parts Used:
    10.5 Noveske Barrel
    VLTOR Upper
    ALG Combat Trigger
    Ambi Selector
Ambi Mag Release (not installed in picture)
    Spikes Zombie Lower
    Mag Pul Grip and Buttstock
    Noveske KX3 Muzzle Device
    Nickel Boron BCG

Have not shot it yet, saving up a little cash for a EO Tech (looking at the XPS2-2 the one with just a red dot like a CCO/M68)

I love SBRs too bad im in California and apparently SBRs kill people by themselves so they are outlawed. A 300blk SBR with a suppressor is my realistic dream gun right now.

Thanks, I plan on building a 300 with a can at some point. The only reason I didn't is the availability of ammo and I plan on shooting this one a lot. I need to get into reloading first. Here are some better pics, that one kind of sucks. I got the EOTECH today and I will zero it tomorrow. I made a mistake its the XPS 2-1 not the 2-2. I will post a range report in the next couple days

Yep, to shot 300blk you need to reload. It's pretty easy if you watch some YouTube videos on it.

wyld3man--very nice. But once you start collecting stamps you'll find you'll have a need for more. The 300 BO definitely shoots nicer with subs and a suppressor!! Of course, they only work well out to around 150 yds max!!

I wonder how long you'll last until you ditch the kx3 and replace it with an A2. It makes a big difference in weapon handling.

I have already been putting a list of things together that require stamps....might need a bigger safe next year!

I have put about 300 rounds through the rifle the past couple days. Here are my thoughts so far:

EOTech- I have used many EOTechs but this is the first one that has only a single dot reticle. It is similar to the Aimpoint but seems like a better field of view. I chose this one because I like a simple reticle that is not cluttered up. I had issues in the past while shooting and moving and the 65MOA circle on the other models would distract me on close precise shots.

Noveske KX3- It does its job by directing everything down range at the cost of weight and increased felt recoil. The weight does not bother me too much but I think I am going to find a different buffer to see if that helps with the recoil (koshinn's post was fairly accurate). I do see that it would help when shooting in close proximity to others so if I do change it out I will keep it on hand and put it on for those situations.

ALG trigger- Very good for the money, crisper feel versus the standard trigger.

Spikes lower and VLTOR upper- Both are good to go, especially the upper. I like the one piece design but I would have preferred the key mod version they have. The 2 did not fit like a glove together but it is pretty close.

Odin XMR extended mag release- I just added this last week. So far I like it, time will tell if the extended size makes it easier for an accidental mag drop.

Noveske barrel- I did not build it for a precision gun, I just wanted a barrel that could hold up to the abuse. Since its made from M249 barrel steel i figure I should be able to pump some rounds through it before its shot out. So far it shoots good, I zeroed at 50m and it held a decent group.

Overall so far I am happy, shoots good have had no failures. The only thing I am going to do is try and reduce the recoil.
