What could I sell my upper for?

I appologize. I know these threads suck.

Without the wasting the time of shoppers by posting an uncommitted ad, I wanted to ask you here.

I have a like new bcm eag 14.5 upper. Fsb is shaved and there's a 12" c4 rail on there. Pinned bcm comp.
    About 200 rounds thru it.

I'd sell without bcg and charging handle.

I saw a few places selling new bcm uppers with the new bcm keymod rail. Really caught my eye.
I wanted to see the differential between selling my upper to fund the new one.

My issue is the inability to swap barrel nuts because of the pinned comp. Before we get into the 14.5/sbr discussion and so on... I live in MA so no matter what the barrel length is the comp must be Pinned.

    Thanks

    Derek

Whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Gotta keep in mind, BCM's new uppers are out and people going nuts over them. Just post it Best offer, and sell it for what YOU feel comfortable selling it for. Simple.

Just saw you live in MA. I'd put the bish on consignment at a local gunshop for some crazy price. Some local should hop on it. May have to cover the BCM logo with a spider or Snake tho lmao.

Hard to say. There is plenty of product on the market. In addition the fact that the FSB was cut way and that is was fired could take away quite a bit. A new EAG upper is 750.00. Subtract about 225.00 as that is what it would cost someone to get a new BCG and handle. Then another 15%-20% off for being used. Then add the difference of the rail, BCM Comp, etc... Don't forget that the EAG upper also came with a rear Magpul BUIS.

It's definitely going to be somewhat a niche thing for someone who is SURE that they want that set up.

Sadly you might be spot on the mark. I swear, when I see BCM uppers pop up, even complete with BCM BCGs they end up going for less and sitting longer than a heavier used Bushy, DPMS, or other straight shit brand with tacticool junk hanging on it or some cheap chinese red dot or something stupid like that that is marked for more with less. It is insane! You have a better upper, set up damn near identical and yet the shittier upper sells for more? What the hell! Then again I saw people selling S&w Sports for $1200 a year and half ago too so what the hell do I know.

It's brand familiarity. Reality is, most shooters have no idea who or what BCM is. They in turn look at it like it's generic crap. BM, Spikes, Windcrap etc all have that massive name familiarity ordeal, especially since those brands spam about every any any gun rag, gun show etc.
Hell, I think almost everyone in this country has now heard of BM after it was in the national news non stop for months straight awhile back.

IMO if it was me, I'd definitely put it up on consignment... after putting a NC star scope on it, an airsoft VFG on it, and one of those NC Star taclight/laser combos on it. It's such a unique and specific upper so may as well throw some trash on it, and mask the fact it's a specialized upper with only a few replace, ent rail options available for it (well without pulling the perm'd comp that is). Add the fact you put on the label that it shoots rounds than make a sonic boom they go so fast lmao.

Realistically -$550, maybe $600 if you find the right person. For all the reasons previously stated and it's a buyers market right now.

Wouldn't know that by perusing the EE. Dudes selling used, painted equipment for $50 more than brand new pricing. Insanity.

I bought my used eag upper for $650 (400 rounds fired by previous owner) came with everything (bcm bcg&ch, magpul forearm, training certificate, etc); just to give you a reference point.

I'd say you could probably expect about $600, plus or minus 10%

Since your upper is no longer an EAG upper, I would ignore the EAG designation and base your price off of the configuration here
    http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-1...4bfh-c4-12.htm
That is the same upper you have now with the $189 BC pinned and welded. your total new would be $1042 take 15-20% for being used as IG stated, you're looking at $830-880. Stating it is an EAG upper is what is hurting your pricing unless you had it with the Larue handguard setup. Just consider sell it as BCM BFH 14.5 midlength with Centurion 12" rail and BC pinned. you would be crazy to take only 500-600 for it IMHO.
