I bought a BCM for my carbine so that I would never wonder.

If you spend much time around the guys who really, really know their craft, and who truly live this stuff, you tend to find that they are very soft-spoken and modest -- almost to the extreme. To my mind, that is a model worthy of emulation

Dude seriously? This topic has been beat to death. It's real simple- Colt, BCM, LMT, Centurion, DD or SIONICS are all very good carriers that will serve you well.

Wilson Combat BCG with HPT/MPI Bolt

All of the specs and no billboard advertisements. Currently out of stock but they allow backorders.

Yeah, you're OCD alright, you'll never be satisfied. Logo on a carrier is a no go, even if your life depends on it?

As I said in the original post I will accept a logo if there's no comparable option without one. It seems like the LMT is a safe bet and there is one local to me. I always consider is I am in a two way range situation and something goes south, do I want my last thought to be "should have bought a better bolt carrier group". Still I just got 3 more options at a lower price than the LMT (sionics, wilson combat, centurion) are they all BCM/LMT/DD quality just less money? Because that's what this whole was really meant to come down to, what BCG is a safe bet for a life on the line rig. Iraqgunz I have a read lot of posts by you, I apologize if I seem to be just beating a dead horse, but a post like yours usually finishes up every thread I have looked through. What I was hoping for was more detail on the top choices, if those options are all equally good then is there any reason to buy one of the pricier ones on the list in your opinion? or are they all equal and I should go with whichever one is on sale right now? The Sionics would be the least expensive at $149 any good reason to pony up $185 for lmt?

The SIONICS looks nice and it is NP3 coated, too. I'd trust IG's insider knowledge on this product. I would also give Centurion the Honorable Mention Award*.

ETA: *I believe they have "C4" logo in the same place as BCM...

You feel like spending an extra $35...

At the end of the day is either price breaking the bank?

Metal - all of the listed options are good
Finish - all of the listed options are good
Support - all of the listed options are good

If you're trying to figure out the difference in price, it's because different companies charge different prices for the same product.

My thought is that I want that particular logo on my bolt carrier because my family's as well my own life may depend upon it...

Considering almost all BCG's are made by a few outfits, and the chance of you breaking a bolt are pretty frigging rare...

It doesn't really matter. Ignore the gimick coatings, they are a waste of money.

CMT BCG are one of the better value and pretty much the same as many higher priced ones (who are made by the same company).
