Well.... Normally they make an exceptionally high quality product. I've had two other uppers from this company and they were fantastic and flawless.

Please excuse the OT comment but as a matter of fact, it is not informal.

I believe this to mean flaming them or being upset. No matter how it is resolved, it was what it was whether they were contacted first or not. Jmo

My reference was to the fact that the rule is not informal.

I believe that highly regarded and failure to answer are mutually exclusive.

If you spend much time around the guys who really, really know their craft, and who truly live this stuff, you tend to find that they are very soft-spoken and modest -- almost to the extreme. To my mind, that is a model worthy of emulation

You'd be surprised. If it's who I think it is, they will respond to the email in an acceptable time frame. Bearing in mind that they aren't there on weekends.

A little patience and realizing immediate gratification is a fairy tale would help in more than just problems with firearms. I'm reasonably confident the company in question will deal with this in a timely manner and the world as we know it will not end.

    That's what I'm hoping for.

I Really like the company, and normally really like their products, and I really don't want this to become a big deal. Hopefully come Monday this will all be taken care of. Its just disappointing that I'm sitting with my NFA upper on the table, bolt half in-half out and I'm not out shooting it - just a disappointment, no more no less.

You've had nearly a year to see that it's not. The informal community rule is that it's a capital idea to read the general rules under the FAQ portion of the page header, and the specific rules contained in the stickied threads at the top of any given subforum. Start here: https://www.m4carbine.net/faq.php?fa...q_new_faq_item

WS6, to build on what you noted, even the folks that DO put up a legit gripe in a calm and reasonable manner and name the company, through no fault of their own, can provide opportunity for some other yahoo (who's blithely unconcerned that he's completely outside of any given situation, and should probably keep his dickholster shut) to lose his damned mind because his educated-to-the-standardized-test ass thinks he's somehow being helpful on behalf of the one being calm....by screeching like a Marseille fishwife, prompting others to do the same, and then it turns competitive to see who can out-clever/out-shout. Whatever can be done to keep our percentage of mouth-breathers at their coloring books is of worth to everybody who prefers valid info to gun-community Kardashians.

My favorite, to date ('bout 3yrs ago...?), was the idiot that was losing his poop because a company hadn't answered his call within 48hrs. He'd called on a Friday afternoon, was bitching about it Sunday evening.....and SHOT SHOW kicked off on Monday. Well, no shit, Sherlock....

All's above-board, here, so far. Let's please keep it that way. Even the "instant" communications we enjoy have a human element that makes them less-than-instant.

There are many many vendors, including some here on M4C, who are difficult to reach by phone.
