    That's fine, but you should consider amending your TOS.

    "Contact the manufacturer first to resolve it" do not stipulate that a response on their end is required, as "contact" is not defined; therefore, simply sending an email or leaving a voicemail at the company without directly communicating would suffice prior to posting the manufacturers name here.

    I'm with JSantoro on this one.

    I really don't want this to become some bogged down bash fest.

    I started this thread to get some idea of what to look for to find the issue, and I got some. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who wasn't working and offered to drive from across the city to bring me his Daniel defense so we could compare the BCG's, and I posted my results. From there I've tried answer questions as people have asked them and provided a couple pictures.

    I don't have any reason to believe the company in question will not take care of me. I've previously owned two other uppers from them that were fantastic.

    Due to some health issues my wife had I sold tons of stuff to help pay for her medical bills. Shortly after that, we moved and during the process I was literally robbed of nearly every firearm and knife [and a bunch of other stuff as well] that I owned by some unscrupulous storage people. So starting again from scratch, and I wanted to do one REALLY NICE rifle since I couldn't afford to replace everything I once had. I chose to do an 11.5" build. So this, my daily CCW piece, and my grandfathers shotgun which I had miraculously decided to keep with me when we moved are all I have currently, which is why I couldn't compare bolts and things on my own - I didn't have any others.

    So in short; I've found the info I needed, and I'm simply waiting - patiently - for the company to get back to me. Yes it's a little disappointing, but its not the end of the world. I firmly believe they will get me up and running once they wade through all their e-mails which I'm sure they have a ton of. I know Fridays are hectic.

    So please, everyone, I do NOT want to turn this into some kind of witch hunt inquisition. I wanted some info, and I got it. Beyond that, I can and will keep all interested parties informed as to how it resolves but this really doesn't have to be a big thing.

    Here is some free advice: Don't try to debate JSantoro on this.
    I'm done here as I am just adding to the OT discussion.

    I am not debating. Simply stating a fact that if they don't want manufacturer's names posted on issues like this until they've responded they should clarify that point. As the protocol is listed right now it is unclear and thus I am pointing out that even if I had read this rule 100 xs in my membership year it would matter not.

    OP: sorry to hear about your wife and sorry as well to have inadvertently diverted your thread. Glad you got what you need. GL.

    Get over it and back on topic or posts will abruptly and magically disappear.

    I did manage to film a short 11 second film clip with my crappy digital camera. The resolution isn't amazing but you can plainly see what it does and what I'm talking about.

    However, I don't know how to host it or link it here where everyone can see it. If anyone knows a place I can host it for free and explain how to link it here, I'm more than happy to share.

    Try the carrier only, w/o the bolt in it, w/o cam pin and w/o FP. If it still binds it's the carrier key hitting the gas tube. Sometimes the gas tube is a little bent.

    I'd already tried that, and it works perfectly. It's the bolt that is the issue.

    Here's a video of the carrier with no bolt or other parts;
