    Problem with Aimpoint T1

Has anyone here encountered a weird phenomenon when looking through a T1 and the sun is high or slightly in front of the direction you are shooting in? I live in Vegas where there is constant sunshine and I have noticed twice what looks to be the outline of the led diode inside the housing. It affects my entire view to the point where I can even see the irons properly or the red dot inside the housing. I have not had this problem with 30mm Aimpoints before. I'm not sure if it's a defect or other people have experienced this as well.

I'd say that's a defect. Would most certainly call or email aim point.

The thing is under normal circumstances it never happens. I say 99% of the time. Only when the sun is perfectly aligned on the optic, I'm assuming

Never hurts to call. It could be normal(I doubt it), but could be something stupid like a missing plastic cover inside.

It's no clone, unless grant at G&R is selling knockoffs now. Please keep in mind I had to Point the T1 almost directly at the sun to reproduce the spaceship looking thing which I'm sure is the led diode.

See like before to me it's a defect. If one of our troops has one and sun hits it just right. He's going to get that image?

Please tell me exactly what you do (point it where, in what direction/relation to the sun)

I live in Florida which has more of a direct sun angle than Vegas, plenty of sunshine, and I will try to replicate.
Why do the loudest do the least?

Well when it was on my rifle the sun was pretty much directly in front of me. Those were the conditions the 2 times I've seen it. The way I replicated it for the pics provided was pretty much to put the optic up in the sky facing the sun. My hand is blocking the actual sun if that helps. Thanks for trying, I wrote Aimpoint but still no response. Maybe Monday.

Found this from 2011which is exactly the same thing I'm experiencing. Besides this article I have not found anything else online.
