    true brake verses hybrid

Having a hard time deciding between a full on brake like the lantec dragon or a hybrid like the battle comp. It will be going on a DD s2w 18".
Off a Harris bipod with the standard A2 there is just enough jump that you can't see the rounds hitting the target at 100 yards. I'd like to remedy that.

My question is could a battlecomp be enough? Or should I go full on brake?

The Hill Rolling Thunder and SJC Titan are widely know to be the most efficient brakes and the small internal bore (apx .040 larger than bullet) does not hurt the accuracy. Brakes that have large internal chambers can allow the turbulent gases to disrupt the bullet flight. I haven't seen the internal bore size of the Lantec but the Battle Comp is huge.

DD bcg, rifle buffer/tube, vltor mur upper.

The hybrid attracts me because in my experience they are less concusive.

There is a lot of ways to help see your impact from the shooters prospective. I work with the action system on out to the muzzle. That way you can assure that you are not compensating (or over compensating?) for what's happening during cycling. People often speak of things like: "felt recoil, smoothness, recovery, soft/hard, follow through, reliability, accuracy, certain optics, faster times, etc..", they maybe exclusive to each other, sometimes not.
I do work with some brakes, but I mainly prefer a good flash hider for many reasons.

What is the aspect(s) of concussion that you are trying to mitigate that is crucial to your use?
    Ground disturbance
    Other personnel to the side
    Sound to the shooter
    Lateral blast

Hybrid is a good choice. But it will add noise/blast to others beside you, it's just how they work.
Might try an adjustable gas block too. Dialing down your gas impulse will keep you on target.
SLR fireworks has some top notch stuff.

Something like this seems like it would be perfect for what you describe.

I actually plan on using this on my current SPR-ish build for exactly the same reasons (not really concerned with recoil per say, just muzzle flip and would like to mitigate blast/concussion to myself and those around me).
