    Thanks for the input. I've had a number of AR's over the years but this is my first dive into the carbine pool. Kept my previous rifles fairly stock but a 6920 seems to beg for customization.

    Who's the rail manufacturer. Did you shave the gas block / FSB or put on a new one?

    That's pretty much what I'm trying to do when mine comes in.

    That is a 9" Larue Tactical rail. It may look longer because of the angle of the pic. Specialized Armament did all the work. I bought the rifle from them and received it just like you see it. The work was first class. I believe you could send your 6920 upper to them and have the same thing done.
