I agree with your line of thought... The bolts are nearly indestructible (A100) and have several design advancements over a mil-spec AR15 bolt yet folks read something from 2006 and write off the single best commercially available bolt in the market today. Without sounding like a snob, I will attest to only running enhanced bolts in all of my AR pattern carbines, from 10.5" to 20" - and I have had zero issues with and without a suppressor, on carbine, rifle, and A5 tubes.

no direct experience, but on a suppressor forum I did take note of someone (a can manufactuer?) reporting that PMC was more gassy.

I guess it makes sense just like some having more flash

I have a 10.5 upper that pretty much only gets shot suppressed and ammo certainly makes a difference.

I know they arent loved here but this particular rifle runs an Adams Arms kit and even though folks say there is no benefit to a piston gun, that rifle has been my go to rifle for years and stays much cleaner and is far less gassy than my DI rifle.

I DO NOT get paid for my reviews.

I know there have been several revisions of the bolts. Maybe an ultra-helpful E-bolt thread?

You know I think I started one and asked for some help from fellow M4C members to post pics of their E-bolts so I can compile an E-bolt Gen Rev graphic much like the one I did for the carriers...
Sadly, I didn't get jack for posts. If a few dudes want to contribute to that thread and bring it back from the grave I'll give it shot.

I run the enhanced carriers in conjunction with the Vltor A5 buffers in my LMT MRP's. I had my barrels cut from 14.5" to 11.5" without opening up the ports.

Function has been 100% so far. Suppressed, there is still some gas in the face...but not any amount that is problematic...at least for me. I haven't compared side-by-side with a similar setup using a standard carrier...so it's kinda hard to say whether there's a big difference or not. I've shot standard 14.5" carbines suppressed and if I had to compare...I suppose I might say mine has a little less blow-black as I've yet to choke-up on the gas...which has happened in the past with the 14.5" guns.
