    POF .308?

What's the opinion? I can't search on "pof" so it makes it hard. I have a DPMS LRT-SASS on order and I don't expect to see it for a while. I'm thinking of canceling it and going another way. I like the Noveske, but it's $3.3K. The POF is $2400 for their 20". The LRT-SASS is $1900. So...opinions?

Do it right the first time, get a Noveske, or POF over the DPMS system. Your spending that much and having to wait that long for any of them anyway.

    POF 308

Magpul has a 308 Masada concept in the works. If you can wait, the Magpul, POF and LWRC are worth it. The Noveske 308 is GTG if you have cash on hand.
Or if you have a Springfield M1A1, put a new stock on it. Have you considered the DSA FAL or PTR 91? Parts and mags are plenty. Good luck

    20-25 weeks

Welcome to the wait. I am only a couple weeks into the wait for the POF 308. I don't know how I will make it until June. Hopefully it doesn't take any longer than that.

Meh. I'd get some SR25-type magazines and save my pennies for the LMT MRP .308. In fact, that's what I am doing.

    LMT

I have no doubt that LMT will have a good offering. When will it be for sale, the fall? Then you will be waiting from then. I don't want to wait that long. You might not even be able to by one legally by then..... I just checked the '09 catalog for LMT and its not listed in there.....yet anyway...

I agree 100%. The LMT MRP .308 did what? It just made its appearance at SHOT '09. What does that mean? It could be forever before it really reaches the market, if it does at all. Too many variables between now and then. Remember how long it took for the MRP .556 to finally hit the market? Look at the Masada/ACR, still a vaporware. Btw, the POF .308 is now listed at $2500. That means expect to pay more if your dealer has one. To the OP, I would not cancel the DPMS .308 SASS, if I were you. I don't have the SASS, but I do have the LR Tac20 and the AP4, and they work just fine, as does my POF308.
