So far been using Froglube and Fireclean , like them both.
The wife's guns get Froglube, mine get Fireclean.
Also testing Archoil currently, have no feed back yet.
And for my dad's I have Weapon Shield I plan on using for his. Just wanted to try something different.
Her 1911 feels like butter with Froglube.

I really hate being part of the problem instead of part of the solution (which is to never bump this thread), but an article popped up and, well... for what it's worth:
A bunch of oils considered
Fan favorite Fireclean is not included.
My LGS swears by FC.
Well let's see, it Leaked out everywhere, every single Pin Hole, Crevice, Crack etc.... that stuff is runny like Water, which I don't care for... personal preference.
Even tho I had broke in my BCM with CLP, and right after went to SLIP2000, once I had switched to FireClean, I started to notice shiny wear spots that I have never seen before on my BCG and it's still a relatively low round count... this is the First Time ever, out of like 3 or 4 Uppers I've seen that.... I've always used the Slip 2000...sometimes going 1K rounds without cleaning or Re-lubing.
It was super smoky... yes, I run my stuff wet. But I've never had that kind of Smoke and Spray to the Face while using Slip.... I run a BCM GF CH.
It had seemed to actually cook off, or dry off, or run off, or whatever.... but basically after just 100 rounds it seemed like it had basically dried up... Working the Action by hand felt gritty and you could hear and feel the Friction.
It seemingly made no improvement when it came time for Clean Up... which FC touts as a huge selling point.
Once I cleaned and dried the Action, I went back to Slip 2000 and applied it liberally, in all the right places, like I would do with any Lube... and it felt like the Action was on Ball Bearings again and Smooth and Quiet.
Maybe that's not Subjective enough for you, and maybe I couldn't convey my thoughts clearly enough on here, in print... but it's like Night and Day between my preference for using Slip 2000, over FireClean... would never goto back to FireClean, ever.
That's just me and my 2 Cents![]()

Did you remove the previous lubricants prior to use?
Because your experience is completely inconsistent with mine.
Did you at least go through the whole bottle?
ETA: I have seen no need to run it dripping wet, which is a huge selling point.
