Tall mounting options for a 30 mm scope

The tallest I am aware of is a LaRue 1.93 inch mount. What else is available out there? Doesn't have to be a mount or QD; rings and bolts will do.

You could use an extended scope rail and rings to get as high as you want within reason. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/548...aluminum-matte GH

I believe that Bobro and ADM both have tall mounts.

ADM Recon-H mount is also 1.93"

What scope are you mounting that requires so much height? Even a 56mm objective should work with a 1.50" height mount like the ADM Delta.

Thanks. Can't find tall Bobro, but ADM is a good option. Don't want to go with riser option for weight and simplicity reason's.

The scope will be a garden variety 1-6 variable, I haven't decided which one. I simply like a more upright head position, and I may get a top rail mounted laser one day.

The laser shouldn't interfere even with a 1.5" height mount. If you want taller than 1.93, then you'll need to go with rings rather than one peice.

Awesome to know on laser. No, I don't think I'd go higher than 1.9, but I wouldn't mind the rings. My backup irons are offset, and I am trying to keep the weight down if I could.

One caveat. Read post 3 in this thread https://www.m4carbine.net/archive/in.../t-113997.html
If you have a shorter rail and longer scope you may need the scope to sit above to actually physically not optically clear the laser

Yep. The laser isn't much of a concern and my rail is 13", but whether 1.93 would be too tall is, somewhat. However, I do have a 1.5 on a SCAR and don't have much issues with the cheekweld. Actually, running SCARs is what spoiled me on head position. My other AR has an EO on a ghetto dual riser, I get strange looks, but my neck loves it.

Have you tried shooting with the stock higher up on your shoulder? That's usually how I shoot to keep my head upright.

1.93" sounds a bit high to me, I use 1.375" NF rings and with the stock a bit higher up on my shoulder I get a perfect sight picture when raising the gun.
