So Specialized Armament wouldn't have it either even though it is on their site?

Why would Brownells send a standard FSP under the tapered carbine FSP's part number?

He'll have it. Elmore will go to his grave with more inventory than COLT by a trillion bucks.

They may use the taller front sight because of the thinner barrel, the bottom of the sight sits lower due to the thinner barrel.

SAW has new old stock parts.

I would not expect Brownells to have anything other than new current parts.

The math doesn't SEEM to work on the barrel diameter theory... (but I've been battin' a thousand on my assumptions this week )

(.750-.625)/2 = .0625" The sight variance is .040" isnt it?

Getting beyond the F vs. regular FSB heights, this is what you want to buy to fix the problem.

I was able to find a "tapered" thin post that was slightly longer at a local shop. It remedies the issue perfectly. Has anyone been able to confirm that an "F" front site base even exists for a pencil barrel? Will all flattop/pencil barrel Colts have this issue?

    Thanks for the notes/posts.

Colt 6933/933 has an F marked front sight and has a pencil barrel.
