So I Have A Religious Question...
In the Jewish tradition if your mother is Jewish that makes you Jewish. Here we are talking about "racial Jews" (those considered Jewish by birth) vs. those who were not born to "racial Jews" but have converted to Judaism with regard to their religious beliefs.
So you can be a "racial Jew" even if you don't practice or observe Judaism or any religion for that matter. If you convert to Judaism that doesn't make you a "racial Jew."
With that out of the way, according to Jewish belief the first woman "Eve" was Jewish (Genesis) and for that matter so was Adam. The story of Genesis was unique to Hebrew religion before the existence of Christianity or Islam, so there is no way Adam or Eve could be anything other than "racial Jews."
So wouldn't that technically make every person on the entire planet a "racial Jew"? Wouldn't that qualify everybody (including Pharaoh) as "chosen people" according to Jewish belief?
Wouldn't that mean that even Christians, Muslims and even atheists would qualify as "racial Jews" even if they don't practice Judaism just as modern people born to a Jewish mother are considered "racial Jews" regardless of their religious beliefs?
Did I just discover a "chosen people" loophole?
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.
