    Sci Fi fans: Transcendence

    Sci Fi fan?

Looks like a good one! I can't even recall that last really good sci fi movie I have seen. Cast and plot a winner. Let's hope it's as good as it looks!

Don't let me down Johnny! Report back here with your review if/when you see it.

Yeah its on the list, Joe Rogan interviewed Google's chief engineer who also so happens to be the world's leading futurist for his show about this very thing, brain uploading.

Thought I'd give this a bump as it opens around here tomorrow and I figured a few folks might give it a peek. The early reviews are not kind, as in "strong out of the gate but limps across the finish line."

unfortunate, but common with the majority of US made movie these days. It's like they only think they have to make half a movie these days, or they only want to pay the good writers for half the movie, or what ever, but that's the norm for movies these days. Prime example, the last sci fi movie (Elysium)we had a long thread on after I reviewed it: started off strong, finished weak and as if written and directed by two different people. It's like the B team comes in mid way through the movie making process or something.

Besson and Gilliam always good for a large bag of popcorn.
Never a dull moment. Probably because neither does the "Design-by Committee' type moviemaking which lobotomizes anything with a creative spark.
