I don't understand this. I'm not being confrontational, I just don't know what you mean.

What I mean is the less engraving you have to do the better.

Collectors don't like Form 1 engraving "tattoos"

Sometimes you physically can't fit a long trust name on the spot where you want to engrave. Thus the short name is preferred. It can be hidden better.

It also gives your engraver less opportunities to mis-spell your trust name.

I am in the process of preparing my Form 1 or Efile and have another question related to engraving location. where is the most common place for the engraving and is it possible to engrave the trigger guard and still be within regulations?

Depends. If you are using a graphic or symbol, you might put it on the right side of the mag well. If you want discretion, under the trigger guard. The engraving must go on frame/receiver/bbl.

The engraving can be done on the trigger guard as long as it's part of the receiver, like a Noveske Gen 2/3 or similar billet lower. If you have a forged lower with a removable trigger guard, most engravers can put it instead on the underside next to where the trigger protrudes from the receiver. There's some examples of this on the Orion Arms website.

I would say the most common engraving location is on the side above the trigger pins.

    I would agree.

One other option that's a little more discreet is the front of the magwell, assuming you don't have one of those fancy lowers that has a textured grip surface there.

Five of my six are above trigger pins. The sixth was a DIY job with a Dremel on a polymer (15-22) lower, and I did the front of the magwell.

All 3 of my form 1s have (my last name) NFA Firearms Trust listed as the name as drawn up by the lawyer in FL that did the paperwork. That name as well as city and state is engraved on the front of my lowers as directed by same lawyer. Right or wrong, it was approved 3 times for a form 1 and hopefully soon for my can on a form 4.
