That was a pretty rusty Hi Point she was using, lucky the thing worked at all.
Police and newscasters talked pretty tough but I'd be amazed if the "punks" even did a full year in jail. Too bad she wasn't a better shot.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

I like to see mama bears. Moma bears protect their young with ferocity. Moma guppies let their offspring get eaten or even eat the offspring themselves.

Outstanding! I too wished the mama bear's aim was just a little more accurate, ESPECIALLY when the one thug with a gun dared to to go back inside the home. This story reminds me of a recent interview of Detroit Police Chief and him telling his citizens to arm themselves. Very refreshing for a change . . .

It would be refreshing if not for the fact that DPD offered that advice because they just accepted they were in over their head and everyone is on their own.
