    AAC Blackout FS

I recently got one of AAC's new Blackout non-sound supressor FS's to try out. I put it on my 16" Operator build. Finish and design appear excellent just at first look. Unfortunately, I have not been able to actually get to the range to try it yet, so I cant give any live fire data/impressions. I hope to do that very soon. In the mean time, I thought I'd toss up a few pics. If it works as well as it looks, I'll be picking up a few more of these. Sorry for the crappy pic quality, I was in a hurry when I took these.

Despite the ring, the do work very well for flash suppression.

The ring is very distinct. And now for the worthless trivia of the day...the Blackout vibrates at an equivalent of 32 MPH, as confirmed by radar.

I keep meaning to get one of those for one of my SBRs. The cheap bastard in me keeps waiting for them to show up at Brownells so I can pay $10 less (hopefully).

Mine even rings when firing with the M4-2000 mounted.

I like the ring its cool, I love to flick them lol. Its a very well designed flash suppresor. The boys and girls at AAC make top notch stuff and are top notch people. Rob you got a loaner KAC SR-15 right, just yell at Trey to try and get you a hook up on one.

Is there any benefit in trying to time it with a washer like the A2 flash suppressor? Or is that unnecessary for this device?

The Blackout is like a Vortex in that regards, and a crush washer is not needed.

If you want a "closed bottom" you can time it so that there is a prong at the bottom, otherwise there is no reason.
