    Angry Bloomberg at it again

Sorry if repost, (CNN) -- Michael Bloomberg is investing a chunk of his personal fortune to minimize the influence of the National Rifle Association.
The former New York City mayor pledged $50 million to his new group Everytown for Gun Safety, an umbrella organization for his two other gun control groups: Mayors Against Illegal Guns and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. It aims to make the political climate more supportive of gun control.
The new organization plans to compete against the NRA by adopting its playbook. The NRA has built an impressive and effective organization that touts millions of members, a robust lobbying organization and a massive campaign arm.

Humbleness is certainly not his strong suit, either.

    Fixed that for him.

Not going to get into a religious debate, but there is that parable about the rich guy and a camel going through an eye of a needle. Me thinks he never read it/comprehended it.

I wonder how $50M compares to the sum of money spent daily by the American public on firearms and ammunition.

Americans spend about 16 million a day on guns and ammo. But thats not really relevant here, the real question is how much does the NRA have to fight back with? Now is probably a good time for us to donate to the NRA and skip on that latest gun widget we wanted.

You'll notice how not one of these people like Bloomberg or Rahm Emanuel or Swinestein ever address their cadre of armed security. You give up your armed guards. Then we'll see how committed you are to your own B.S.

Yeah, but someone is at least having fun at Mister Bloomberg's expense:

    http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/201...facebook-page/

When Hizzoner reached into his pocket to pull out a spare $50 mil to jump-start his latest rights-abrogating enterprise, the miserably monikered Everytown for Gun Safety, he apparently didn’t spend much cash on a competent social media team. The heaven-bound former mayor made the faux pas of announcing his new “grassroots” anti-gun holding company before he’d tied up all of the social media outlets under the new org’s name. Oops.
Experience is a cruel teacher, gives the exam first and then the lesson.
