I don't know. All of this revolves around grenade launcher use, and a removable bottom rail. I do not know if MLOK has enough material on the sides (that 1913 material in the rails provides pretty good strength) to hold up to it.

That said, MLOK looks like the only viable method other than hard-mounting, or 1913. KM would get torn up so fast it's not even funny.

The rail/UGL is a part of the program, but so is a trigger, charging handle, sights, and flash hider (probably at least one other thing that I overlooked in a quick reply).
Frankly, the handguard will probably offer a more significant improvement than the others, but each one is a step in the right direction. When it comes down to it, even if only the charging handle is replaced, it would be a minor investment and probably the most successful acquisition program in the last 8 years.

My current build that I'm doing has this rail except it has the full picatinny across the top.

I want that exact rail! At least I think I do, lol.

Please update with your thoughts/opinions of this rail when you have time.

It's mentioned in the thread you want me to look for .

I didn't see any pics of it there though .
I honestly can't remember where I saw those pics .

The bottom of the M-LOK bolts get pretty close to the gas block
on the V1 . In some cases depending on the gas block used it may
be so tight that it contacts the gas block during firing- which negates
the benefits of free-floating the barrel .

I wanted to reuse my pinned A-frame FSB by chopping it because
the pinned gas block is inherently more dependable , so I wanted more room .

Got an MREX rail for my SCAR in the mail today. Got it installed with little trouble, and was pleased with the feel.

However, I'm not exactly sold on M-LOK. Tried to install a M-LOK vertical grip, and managed to get it stuck on the rail with a stripped screw. Ended up having to take the MREX back off of the SCAR's barrel, and pry the grip's T-nut off the rail with a pair of pliers. The screw and nut are still stuck on the grip, and I don't know what to do with it now. Anybody else have this much trouble with M-LOK installation?

    Jack,
Assuming it is possible, how difficult would it be to install the URX4 with a shaved and pinned FSB? Do the MLOK slots line up with a mid-length gas block close enough to slide a punch through and set the taper pins?

Take a look at this PDF (https://www.magpul.com/Admin/Public/...M-LOK_Tips.pdf)for tips on how to use the M-LOK successfully. I fumbled my first accessory removal as I did not understand how the system worked exactly. Once you do it is a breeze.
