Will these new DARPA Robots be used for policing US citizens?

    http://news.yahoo.com/pentagon-scien...022312510.html

Seems that the pentagon is spending some serious effort in creating AI and robots...and I doubt that this is the latest model. Every released article I've read is very careful to say these are for "helping" and overly stress "friendly" and for humanitarian efforts but with DARPA involved and in recent events of our own central governments trampling of any law they don't care for, I have a lot of doubt that these will be used for anything but military and/or civilian policing operations.

Further, South Korea has announced they are now implementing these robots as prison guards beginning next year.... But again stress they are "friendly" prison guards.

I'm going to need some reassurances that the CPUs of these bad boys are all hardwired with Asimov's Laws of Robotics. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Laws_of_Robotics)

No wonder they don't want anyone having steel core ammo.

If you do not realize that there will be robotic/android soilders(and police), energy weapons(that will be restricted to MIL/LE only) and geneticly engineered super soldiers in the not too distant future then you are fooling yourself.
If you can't win a gun fight against a lightly-trained individual during broad daylight with 88 rounds of 30-06, I'm not sure you'd be able to do it with... any other firearm.

I'm confident the problems with ED-209 are just a glitch...a temporary setback.

ive been waiting for this part the most.

aka "Kurt Russel Soldier or Warhammer 40K style."

eventually they will switch from massive armies with shit gear, and switch to elite units of unstoppable tech and genetic superiority.

Of course they will be used on us.

They don't develop something like this with the idea of ONLY using it on one type of aggressor...do they?

Look at drone use these days.

...only a matter of time...welcome to Obama's Amerika!

You call this a glitch?! We're scheduled to begin construction in 6 months. Your temporary setback could cost us 50 million dollars in interest payments alone!
