Mine also locks up so tight that I have to go an extra 180 turn to get it loose enough to remove.
The one thing I'd like to see with this VG is a way to adjust the tightness at lockdown, but that would result in a much more complicated grip. So, I think the tradeoff is a good one.
This grip does seem to work really well with in-spec handguards, but I have one KeyMod handguard that all of VG-S-KMs are loose on even though they are super tight on all of my other handguards. I made a shim from a milk jug, cut to be about the same size as the top of the plunger, and this was all the VG-S-KM needed to lock up just as tightly on the under-spec handguard as it does on my KMRs and original NSR.
I talked to BCM, and they assured me that if you don't like the tension with your specific handguard, they'll take it back, but if you otherwise like the grip and don't mind taking just a few minutes to make a shim, it's actually a solid solution that preserves the simplicity of the design.

I'm guessing a shim would tension the whole attachment up.

What is the verdict on these from the guys who have them?
Sorry for the pseudo-necro, but anyone have an ETA on the wolf gray ones of these?
