We appreciate that you are obviously passionate about free float rails and engineering. I am having my staff draft a response to your statements with some data from our testing analysis. Hopefully this will put this issue to rest. Please note this will take some time.

In addition, we've reviewed our drawings for the barrel nut and the extruded ID of the rail and made some calls to our extrusion house and BBL nut lathe guys in order to try to get the tolerance range down as close as possible without having the interference fit issues we've had in the past (too tight.) We do appreciate you pointing what you think is right/correct, however please note that in every design there are reasons behind why things are engineered certain ways. In our phone call, it seemed to me that you felt that there was only one "right" way to do something, we respectfully disagree. I will check on the status of your return when we re-open tomorrow.
    Joseph,
A response isn't really necessary at this point. As you noted above, we can agree to disagree. You have the old rail now and you said "we will replace the rail to something with a smaller ID to his satisfaction"
That's all I'm waiting for at this point. I would appreciate a quick turn around on the replacement package.

    Thank You

Well part of the issue might be the fact it doesn't state made in the USA. The other rail, the Key Mod one states it, but that one doesn't so it won't surprise me the clearances are off.

I bet he will be sure glad when he has you squared away. I have a parallax rail and the thing's rock solid.

Did we ever figure out if the OP actually installed the rail and tightened everything down?

I don't think he did. As far as I know he was just measuring.

I ask in post #8. Some people get so worked up over nothing they can never be satisfied. GH

It is a yes or no answer, and I don't see that answered in the post unless I'm just missing it.

The OP seems to be posting everything from his own numbers to shipping labels, so this should be a pretty easy question to answer for him.

The fasteners were not installed. Joseph Chen owner of Parallax confirmed the rail was out of spec having 4 to 5 times the amount of clearance to their mean of 0.004". I didn't see any point in tightening down fasteners on an out of spec rail.

Parallax confirmed I received an out of spec rail. Joseph Chen/Parallax recognizes room for improvement and is taking corrective action with his extruder to tighten up the specs on his extrusion ID and he is also working with his barrel nut vendor to improve the dimensional accuracy there. He's doing all the right things to improve his product and you refer to all of this as "nothing".

Are you saying ALL of their rails are out of spec, or just yours? I have seen dozens upon dozens of people happily using their rails online. You're saying that all of these people have chalked it up to being just "nothing"?
