If that is the case, why did you bother to create this thread? It seems like this is nothing more than a vendetta piece against a manufacturer. You are a new guy here on this board who has a sole interest in drawing as much attention to your complaint as possible. To be blunt, it seems like you are trying to black mail the manufacturer by using this board in order to get what you want.

I do appreciate you answering my question.

I will also point out that I sincerely hope I am wrong with my above thoughts. However, the characteristics displayed have been done over and over, and rarely if ever does the complainant become a positive member of a board.

I just had a Parallax Tactical rail installed on my 6.8SPC and it looks good. I just pulled it out of the safe and looked where the barrel nut mates with the rail and it looks like you couldn't fit dental floss between the gap. There is no deflection noticeable anywhere, very uniform spacing. It looks like you are being taken care of. I hope it ends well for all parties involved.

Did I say all of their rails were out of spec? I have and can only speak to the one I received. Keep in mind I was told the rail was in spec on my first 2 phone calls to Parallax regarding the excessive clearance.

Hmm, I searched for user reviews and found very little to no real feedback on THIS rail.
There are also people in this post who have expressed their negative experiences as well.

I think your confused about the origin of that comment. Please read the reply to GH41 again. He referred to the out of spec rail as "nothing", not me.

As noted in my original post. Two phone calls to Parallax were met with the response "Just tighten it down, it will be OK". They would not entertain the fact that they may have sold an out of spec/defective product. If this was truly in spec product, as I was told on two occasions, then I wanted to post my findings so other people would have an idea of what they are getting before they decide to spend their hard earned money like I did.

On 4-26-14 5.56Geo posted the following, "I can imagine the bitter taste your experience has left but I would ask to speak to Joe the owner of the company. He will make it right" So I did contact Joe and gave him that opportunity and he's making positive changes as a result.

"to get what I want" By this you mean an in spec rail? I fulfilled my obligation to Parallax when I paid them $200 for a rail package. I tried to talk them twice about the issue. Your saying it's wrong for me to expect a usable in spec rail in return for my payment?

In conversation with Joseph Chen I believe he said he's machining the ID of his keymod rails. He also mentioned he will eventually be machining the ID of the FFSSR rail.

The OP has contacted the manufacturer. The manufacturer is providing a replacement. I think we can put this one to bed now.
