"the barrel needs to be lowered"

Went to the range today and about 3 or 4 tables over was a middle aged couple firing what appeared to be a Marlin model 60. The gentleman was trying to teach his lady how to shoot. The target was about 20 to 25 yards down range. He fired a few rounds and then had her take over. His rounds were on target but hers were no where to be found. This gal was hot under the collar! She kept insisting she couldn't hit the target because the barrel of the rifle needed to be lowered and she kept asking how to do this. He kept trying to tell her different, but she would not listen to any instructions. She did nearly all the talking and the poor guy couldn't get in a word. About 35 or 40 minutes later she was on paper, but to the extreme left. Again, he tried to tell her how to hold the rifle to bring the shots to center. I can't recall her exact words, but it was something like- "it would be easier to just go out and move the target over"! His response was to call it a day and come back when the range was not so crowded. The guy never lost his cool and had more patience than most. I would probably have given up and given the lowering of the barrel as a homework assignment.
I expend tremendous amounts of energy and time merely to be normal.

She sounds like the type of woman he would be best served by not associating with.

I'll never understand. 3,500,000,000 women out there and guys still deal with nonsense like that. He's obviously a patient and smart guy....

Went to the range today to start training on an M&P I just got back from L&M Precision that had an RMR mounted on it. Well my best friend's little girl tagged along (she literally hung the moon in my eyes) so over half the allotted time was spent shooting with her.....and that's not a complaint. Ha Ha She would not put down the M&P 22. Much sweeter, cuter, and a much better student than the girl you described tog.

Women are all just retarded to varying degrees. It's not negotiable.

“Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.”- Friedrich Nietzsche.

For the most part though, from what I have seen, women are willing to listen and learn when shooting.
It is from the construction of underground FEMA camps. I can't say more because there a guy parked in front of house in an AMC Pacer. He is acting like he talking on the phone, but I know better.

I have to sign off now & put my laptop in the microwave.

That guy needs to take a walk and never look back. That 'lady' will never be a happy person and will drag down every partner she has. She is best left to the cats.

That's a rather uninformed condemnation of someone who might be of sterling character; apparently she just doesn't know squat about shooting/guns and isn't very teachable in this area. This doesn't merit assignment to the junk heap.

Consider that perhaps she simply needs new glasses.

Trying to teach shooting/firearm safety to someone that you are intimately involved with is simply somewhere within the sliding scale of "difficult".
