Being that they already partnered with DD for the SOCOM II , why not a Colt MK18 MOD 1 upper? Actually they should just offer MK 18's with their SOCOM lower roll mark for a reasonable price.

Grant,
If Colt comes through with the parts and lowers, and with your pin/weld service for the 14.5's, you might want to staff up. I have a feeling this will be very popular. Well done.
Just wanted to share some groups I shot this past weekend with the COLT 6720 I purchased from GRANT awhile back. Not bad for a LWT CL barrel (albeit, free floated with a DD Omega). I will more than likely take this upper to the CSAT course I signed up for. The groups were shot at 98 yards, not 100 yards.
I was all over the place with the groups below. Next time I will try to sandbag the rear of the rifle better.

Thanks, Grant. I will be going back this weekend to shoot some more groups. I know that this rifle can shoot better than the results above. I'm not the best shot by a long shot, so I wanna give it another go.
Got some more uppers in today! LE6920CK (16" M4's complete).

Dang! That seems really reasonable to me. These may not last long...
