Anyone have a New KAC QDC Suppressor yet?

Curious to see if anyone has one yet, and if so, worth it? And if anyone has some in stock so I can pick one up. Just bought the MAMS brake and figured I would get one to compare to my Socom and M4-2000 cans. Picked up my SOCOM for 1100. KAC worth the extra dough over the SOCOMs? Thinking they will be in the 1500 range?

Also, I know a few folks who bought the 7.62 mini socom cans as they are roughly the same size as the full size 5.56. And able to run on different platforms. Is this kind of the same case with the new Knights cans? I saw a few around with the 3 prongs hanging on the front, but now the new ones look to have no dimples and do not have the prongs. Any insight would be a help. And if there is some waiting list to get on, where and what would that be?

    Thanks,

    I have the 556 QDC, 762 QDC/CQB, and the 762 QDC. Waiting on the F3 for the 556 QDC/CQB.
Do I think it's worth it? So far, yes. And I'm liking a few things about it over the Surefire line.
I have put on the 7.62 cans on 5.56 rifles, but I really think it's better to use 5.56 cans on those. KAC 762 MD's only come in 5/8" and 3/4", no 1/2" thread. The only can in the lineup without the short 3-prongs is the full size 762 QDC.
PM me with an email address if you want some terrible iPhone pics of them.

I'm liking the locking mechanism for one. The Surefire brakes have too much blast for my tastes, with the KAC I can use a MAMS. I don't know how they'd meter side by side, but the KAC full size cans seem to sound better, may just be the change in tone though.

Have you had a chance to compare POI shift and consistency yet? Thanks for the info.

So far, on hosts that had little shifts with the SF cans, with the KAC cans are minimal and consistent. I have some barrels that shift more, no matter who's cans are on them, but the consistency is still there.

For best consistency, hold the barrel vertical when mounting the suppressor.

Does anyone have any clarification of what the cans being released commercially look like. Have some conflicting information about the dimples on the can and the 3 prongs out the front. Saw some 2012 production ones that are different then what will be or has come or will be coming out to the commercial market. I like the original KAC dimple look, but from what I've researched they no longer have that?

    Thanks again,

The full size 762 QDC doesn't require the 3 prongs to reduce flash, it doesn't need the waffle wrap either.
