On a similar note I will be putting mine on an 11.5 AR, and the gun will be run almost always suppressed. I'm not sure if I want to get the mini/cqb or the Fullsize variants. Any recommendations between the two would be very appreciated. This is my first foray into the NFA world and I want to do it right. Thanks

Yes I have, but only informally so far, with no metering equipment.
Seriously though, for a first can purchase, I would recommend a full size can over a reduced sized one. The difference between a full sized and a reduced size doesn't seem bad to the shooters perspective in an open environment, but is very noticeable in smaller spaces. The smaller ones are great, but it's a more specific application.
The tones are different between the manufactures, but actual db haven't been measured in my cases.
One thing that sticks with me personally is that the offerings from both have great flash hiders, but different brakes. The KAC brake is less disruptive compared to the SureFire by a large margin.
I'm happy with both, but I prefer the KAC offerings more than the SureFire so far. So far, both have great consistency and lock into position well, and have repeated accuracy so far. The Surefire cans seem louder on subsonics, but I haven't measured it. The attachment method is super easy for both.
I use silencers on multiple host weapons, so I like being able to make them usable for a wide variety of platforms. If SureFire made a less nasty brake, I'd say they are close.
Hopefully, I'll be doing some sound testing soon, it seems almost impossible to get everything scheduled.

When you do your comparison of the cans, take some video as well. There is nothing but air soft on YouTube for the QDC cans right now. I'm most interested in seeing the 556 qdc cqb on a 10" upper in low light.

I won't be able to help you out in the 10" barrel. Rifle I have set up for the KAC is a BCM BFH 11.5. I do have another 11.5 set up for the Surefire Socoms so will be easy to side by side with those. After looking into getting some DB readings, it looks like the proper equipment I would need and the set up, would be extremely expensive. So I cannot help anyone out in that aspect.

How about sharing some pics of the 556 qdc cqb how are you liking its performance in regards to sound reduction and flash signature?

I ordered mine back in June and still has not made it to my FFL dealer! The wait is frustrating.

Whoops meant to direct this message to tom12.7 sorry!
