    Weight comparison for three uppers

    1 - BCM 16" ELW BFH upper with 13" KMR - 1708 grams
2 - Colt 16" govt profile with MOE hand guards and FSB - 2021 grams
3 - BCM 11.5 BFH with MOE hand guards and FSB - 1743 grams

All uppers with BCG and CH and magpul BUIS rear sight (#1 with magpul BUIS front sight)

So, the difference between these lightweight barrels and kmr make a 16 carbine lighter than a 11.5 with moe hand guards. The kmr rail with LE barrel makes the carbine about 3/4 pound lighter than the comparable stock Colt 6920 with MOE hand guards. This winning combination also makes the carbine 1.2 pounds lighter than my last Colt 6920 with a 13" troy alpha rail. It's an impressive difference.

It was a few weeks ago when their stock was more... stocked.

It's an awesome upper. When a 16" carbine is lighter than an 11.5" pistol, life is good. I got a callous on my middle finger from that troy alpha rail in a two day carbine class, that was an eye opener regarding weight on the front of a rifle. I ordered the ELW bfh the next week after their free bcg promo started.

I believe he was being sarcastic.

    EXCELLENT Info in this thread.

I am now decided on the Enhanced Lightweight barrel

But not sure now if I wan to pay the extra $30 for the ELW Fluted version over the ELW 9non fluted)

These different options kill me!!! Arrrgghhh

Will you notice the difference, probably not. Are you the kinda guy who says, " I wish I had bought the best? " either are great.
