Me too. I bought the standard ELW and almost bought the fluted.

Has anyone here held both a 16" standard LW next to a 16" ELW fluted and noticed a difference? I mean complete rifles and not just the uppers.

Just received mine. It is the 14.5 ELW-F with 10 inch KMR. I can't believe how light this thing is. I have only been messing around with it at home but am already extremely happy. I went from a 16 inch gov profile with a Troy Battle rail to this. The difference is extreme to say the least. Can't wait to get it out to the range

When I build I stake my set screws for added security and have never had one shift or back out.

I'd thought about doing that. But I'm so impatient when putting a gun together, I never tried it.

Curious about this as well, but based on the above comparisons of the same in 14.5" I am guessing it would be noticeable.

This is just an update on my 14.5 ELW -F with a BCM Comp mod 1 and a 10 inch KMR weighs in at 2lb 9.4oz. This is just barrel, upper, hand guard and comp. No bcg or charging handle.
