It's a shame BCM doesn't pin the gas blocks. I'm hoping they might in the future or come up with another solution like KAC is doing which I don't know much about.

I remember Grant saying something about keeping an eye out for BCM gas blocks of the future in another thread.

Noveske's weights are listed on their website: http://www.shopnoveske.com/collectio...ed-lo-pro-5-56

Their 14.5" Light Carbine CHF is 1 lb. 12 oz with the gas block.
Their 14.5" Skinny CHF is 1 lb. 7 oz with gas block and gas tube.

Completely unnecessary to pin the gas block. When the dimple is done and Loc-tite is used that screw is not coming out and that gas block isn't moving. I used to think the same thing, experience taught me otherwise.

That... AND the fact that thousands of guys are running dimpled blocks, and you never read of one shifting.

In case anyone missed it, markm just defended a non pinned GB.

I'm evacuating into my bunker for the next 36 hours as a precaution.

Yep. As long as the block is shrouded by a hand guard, it's not going anywhere. A regular FSB on the other hand...

My understanding is as of now BCM does not make a 14.5" "BFH" ELW barrel.
