    More Socialist Crap from His Imminence

    This Pope is really starting to piss me off.

    He said a more equal form of economic progress can be had through "the legitimate redistribution of economic benefits by the state, as well as indispensable cooperation between the private sector and civil society..." Francis urged the U.N. to promote development goals that attack the root causes of poverty and hunger, protect the environment and ensure dignified labor for all.
    I've got a suggestion asshole. Why don't you try redistributing my work ethic?

    If this clown thinks that everybody deserves "dignified labor," then who is going to perform the undignified tasks of taking out his garbage, cleaning his bathroom, waxing my ass, etc.?

    I suggest that the group of weird-hat-wearing goofballs that anointed this disaster reconvene a quorum pronto and tell this Pope to take a lesson from his predecessor by retiring - today. Otherwise, he his going to make active enemies out of people like me who have been non-member supporters of his congregation. That's right, a number of us non-Catholics go to Catholic hospitals, send our kids to Catholic preschools, and participate in Catholic charities. Perhaps it's time to remind him of where all that cash sitting in Vatican accounts comes from...

    I've always suggested that the pope, like all governments should lead by example. When he gives up his good plated walking stick and the billions of $$ of treasures he's sitting on to the poor and unappreciated I will consider giving him the time of day. Till them he's like all other hypocrites.

    It appears the AP has attributed words to the pope to once again portray him as a socialist hero. This mainstream media sensationalism and "framing the narrative" appealing to socialists and Catholic haters. I'm surprised that a group cynical of the lamestream media are so quick to accept their reporting at face value.

    From what I have read the Pope was asking for generosity and inclusion of the poor but the AP drew the conclusion this must be done through government. Most of what the Pope speaks on are appeals to individuals' spiritual growth and life not world politics. And personally the Pope is very generous and humble.

    That was my first thought, but all of the quotes that I've seen leave little to context. Moreover, this is the second time that this clown has made statements on the international stage that, at the very least, call into question his belief in capitalism as a viable economic system. How far we have come from Pope Leo VIII. So, there is a saying in the Army, "Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, and three times is enemy action." Well, I've written off this pope as a clown - I will not even dignify his title with a capitol letter. I suggest the Catholics start paying very close attention to what their leader is actually saying.

    To make sure my dignity remains intact I think he needs to give me 10% of his income. He is more wealthy than me and all that.

    I'm having a hard time understanding why you're having a hard time understanding a Pope advocating for the poor. Didn't Jesus do that from time to time?

    While I may not agree with some of his socialist sounding tendencies a hard charging and overtly capitalist Pope would seem far more out of place to me.

    He did, but not at the tip of a Roman spear. Show me a passage where Jesus called on Caesar to save the poor by seizing property from the rich. I think that it all goes back to that free will stuff.

    And why is that? Capitalist countries enjoy the highest per capita standard of living in the world. Our poor live like kings compared to the average citizen in Cuba, East Germany, North Korea et al. Socialists countries may have better equality; everybody is equally miserable. Pope Leo VIII understood that fact. You might want to look up his writings on the evils is socialism.
