In the discussion that Skintop911 linked to above, I related my experience with three NHMTG mags that I bought from .44mag.com last year. The inside dimensions of the rear "spine" on the magazines were tighter than any of my Okay mags, either because of the thickness of the overlapping metal or excess residue from the weld, which became a minor issue when I tried to install MagPul Ranger plates in them. The rear tab on the inner floor plate of the Ranger plate got stuck in the spine, and I had to force them back down to engage the Ranger base plate by fully compressing the magazine follower and spring. I haven't experienced this with any of my Okay mags, but I'd have to check the dates to see if any of them were manufactured around the same time (I think my newest Okay mags are from 2012). The NHMTG mags functioned fine once I put them back together, so it's only a minor concern to be aware of if you want to use Ranger plates in your mags. I have an older NHMTG mag that I got used at a surplus store that didn't have this issue, so it might just have been that one batch. I know they're made by the same people, but I've been sticking with buying Okay mags since then, just because...

There is no difference, other than floor plate, between NHMTG and Okay. I've got NHMTG mags with Okay stampings on the inside of the mag bodies. The problem you had was with a specific run.
