Roger! Aimpoint needs to make cellphone batteries... That would be a game changer! LoL

Primary arms id now distributing Holosuns, they have aimpoint battery life and lifetime warranty. May want to look into them.

I dunno, that is what they told me. Maybe mine used to be a military unit since I read him the serial number when trying to determine the authenticity. He didn't say it was a military unit just told me it was a legit Aimpoint and that they don't service that model anymore due to that issue.

Thanks guys, now I have to come up with $500 for one of these!
What size dots do you recommend?
Also I have an astigmatism, I'm guessing the rumor of a comet looking dot won't effect QCB performance??? I love Podunk Montana when it comes to shopping for new toys. No one stocks what you want to look at!

I'd try hard to go see optics in person if you have astigmatism. Some people have zero issue with aimpoints. A buddy of mine with one hated aimpoint and went with a eotech because it worked much better for him. I doubt it is a huge difference but for the money get what you love not what you can tolerate.

What's the deal with these holosun sights? I've been searching m4c for weeks since I saw it on primary arms. Haven't seen any reviews yet...

I have considerable astigmatism and have been enjoying the PRO I recently purchased. Just gotta adjust the brightness down to eliminate the flare. Probably the best accessory I've put on my carbine.

I have a vortex Sparc on my norinco type 56 and my colt LE-6920 and they're excellent, seriously i can't think of anything wrong with them even if they cost more. For reference I have an aim point m2 as well.

What's the big difference between the Micro and the Pro besides price and size? I see Daniel Defense sells the pro for 400.

The reason I was looking at the used Ebays was there is a guy with several Pros that look like they were off Daniel Defense durability test guns! Look like Larry Vickers pounded the hell out of them! But if Aimpoint would service them under the warranty... But I'd they aren't legit then maybe the guy needs to be shutdown.

Because the micro is more rugged. The design allows for more shock on its body. The mount is bolted to the body and allows the mount to take of the shock damage. The micro is rated for 1500 G's of shock. That's impressive by any standard.
