Sorry if this has been mentioned previously, or if this is the wrong place, but ... did you guys see this awesome video by LAV and crew on the Ma Deuce? Some of the best high speed camera/slow mo video I've ever seen, plus, heck, it's the Ma Deuce in action..... the USA gubment underwrited my photography career in my youth at NARF Pensacola back in the day and I can say from a relatively professional opinion that this video totally and completely rocks.

On my bucket list is "Shooting the Ma Deuce" and if I don't get to do it, this will have to do.

The M2 is fun. A bitch to set up properly (don't look at me I'm not a machine gunner). My favorite is still the 240G. Can't beat "hugging" a 24lb beast spewing 950 rounds of hate a minute.

I saw it on youtube a few days ago, along with LAVs video introducing his new youtube videos. As a cable cutter who was paying for a monthly subscription, I'm pretty stoked.

Everyone always complained about setting headspace and timing, I never had an issue with it as long as I had a set of go/no-go gauges.

Yeah a Ma Deuce is harder to set-up than a 240 or a 249, but not impossible.

A properly set up M2 is an angel of death and destruction. I was lucky enough to get to play with a few of them and had a blast. Yes the headspace and timing can be a touch finicky, but as DD said with go/no go's it is not so bad. I would also say one of the badest beltfeds out there in 30 cal. is the 240.

If you ever get a chance, do what you have to do to fire an aircraft 50. Faster rate of fire will destroy your wallet though.
