Last night after posting I removed all sights from the gun. I cleaned everything off, and ran them as far right and left for the rear and up and down for the front as possible. I centered everything back up except the aimpoint. Took it to the range and success. I don't know what the difference is today but I was able to walk it in to the circle on the same target as yesterday. To confirm the 50/200 yard zero I shot at a 12x12 steel plate at 200 yards with multiple hits. I think this is close enough for class. I'll wait until I have a professional with me to fine tune. Thanks for the help and ideas provided.

Edit: might want to witness mark the rear sight windage setting. Could be moving under recoil?
The optic would be on the upper receiver. A misaligned rail would only affect irons. I had similiar issue when I first installed my DD rail awhile back. The only thing maxed out was windage on the rear sight but it groups poi/poa.

Awesome. Maybe something got stuck in the sight somewhere causing it to stick?

I have no idea? Honestly I'm just really glad I was able to walk it in close. Rear sight is quite a bit to the right but I really don't care so long as it groups.

glad you got the rifle sorted. sounds like a known working optic on the receiver would have cleared up any confusion if the rifle was shooting straight or not.. was not trying to be off topic, i thought this was or should have been your first goal before posting..

My main issue was that the aimpoint has always been on this rifle and I haven't had either of them sighted. The only other optic I have is set up on my LMT and that gun shoots great. I was just hesitant to remove it and cause yet another problem. Thank you again for your help though. Much appreciated.

The way I was taught was to think of the rear sight as you its closest to you if you want to move left you move left.

The front sight think of it as your enemy it won't do what you tell it. If you want it to move right it moves left if you want it to move down it moves up. So if you want it to move right you move it left and if you want it to move down you move it up.
