    The right to bear arms and self-defense are god-given inalienable rights. Screw Mexico and its tyrannical laws.

    Back in the early 90's an El Paso LEO was chasing a stolen vehicle. He went across the bridge. Got arrested, his EPPD car and weapons confiscated. US State Dept had to negotiate his release. He never returned to Mexico to stand trial and I believe a warrant was issued for his arrest by Mexican Officials. I was in El Paso for a SW Border Conference when this happened. We were advised to stay in the USA and not venture into Mexico.

    Can we arrest every single illegal Mexican right effin now?

    And then we need a serious wall. No tourists, jobs or money going INTO Mexico and No Illegals coming out.
    It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    So you do not believe in the principles of 1776? Then why stand up for or believe in the bill of rights today that followed the American Revolution and its ideology? Self-interest alone?
    As for references to Texas, the Texans of 1836 told Mexico to go to hell with its tyrannical laws then, too. Have we fallen so far that even "freedom-loving" gun-guys no longer believe in the founding principles and ideology of the republic and the Declaration of Independence, not to mention the Texas Revolution?

    You must not be aware of the situation in Mexico. Sucks the devil dog is in the can but he DID break a law, (unknowingly) tell me people don't get wrongfully arrested here in the US. We have also executed many an innocent man.

    We are so stupid as a country sometimes. Mexico has stringent border and immigration laws. Guys I work with from Brazil won't even transit through there any more they get hassled so much.

    Then we turn around and let millions come across our border with little penalty or none, or a free meal and ticket back.

    The basis of our international relations should be that we enforce at least the same laws they do in regards to each others citizens and trade. Reflect back their own crap. If any mule crossing the border with a bale or federale crossing with M16 spent a few years in a shithole prison here then maybe those incursions would dwindle. As it is Mexico cuts our citizens and veterans no slack while we practically roll out the red carpet no questions asked.

    While I understand your anger and agree with the sentiment to a degree; it's flat out arrogant to demand other sovereign nations obey our laws and beliefs over their own.

    How would you feel if Mexico demanded we ignore our constitution and instead followed their laws?

    The situation sux ass and I believe that we should be treating Mexican criminals the shame way they treat theirs, but it's just nit realistic.

    Is it really possible to accidentally and unknowingly cross the border with Mexico? That part of the story makes no sense to me. Maybe someone in a border state can enlighten me, as I have never been to the border (nor do I ever plan to go).
