Colt sources parts built to their specs from many subcontractors. Don't get caught up in the belief that all CMT manufactured bolts are the same as Colt bolts manufactured by CMT.

I'm pretty sure most Colt BCGs are coming from Microbest.

Ordered a new Rainier Arms full auto, phosphate BCG 26 May, received it yesterday. (order to receipt less than 3 days from Washington to Pennsylvania)

The total price $127.91 shipped for the complete assembly.

Bolt is marked C158 and MPI (no HP test indication)

Maybe their post office stopped sucking royally. I've passed on ordering parts from rainier before... NOT because of Rainier, but because I knew it'd be 7-10 days til I got it. Track always shows that it sits with their useless post office hires for a few days before it get rolling.

Those same mindless post office drones will be shocked when postal service is privatized under UPS and/or FedEx and their ridiculous pensions and benefits go away.

Maybe I've been fortunate (?), but even when I bought a rifle from them, Rainier Arms REV RUC 16" (great rifle, by the way), it was at my LGS in less than a week. I've ordered a few other miscellaneous parts from them and it usually took no more than a week. In fact, BCM has been about the same in terms of getting my orders to me quickly.

The postage on the box for the BCG was generated by RA using Stamps.com, maybe they worked something out with the Auburn PO so they can simply drop off the daily orders right at the loading area?

I hope to see this. I'll never forget watching 1 of the 2 cashiers at the smaller local P.O. ask if the other had had her BREAK yet... while a dozen people were piled up in line.... then promptly put up the next window sign. That kind of uselessness is jaw dropping.

It is unfortunate that the few good post office employees will suffer. (Actually, we will ALL suffer, I just realized that the US Postal Service is "too big to fail", so expect another massive bailout).

But I digress, sorry for the derailment.

I just wanted everyone who was wondering about the Rainier Arms bolts to see that they are indeed C158, and like many others have said, anything can fail or have a defect. It's just that you're much less likely to experience problems when you go with known materials, known processes and known suppliers/retailers.

I for one am not disappointed that the RA bolt is not HP tested. If the manufacturing process is proper, if the material is proper (in this case it is) then HP testing only serves to weaken the bolt. I would hope, for the sake of quality control, that now and then the manufacturer pulls a few bolts randomly and HP tests them to destruction.

I know KAC is not a fan of HP testing for that very reason.

I'm not sure of the value of HP testing every bolt... but given the choice... My pic is Colt or BCM, and they're HP'd.
