The 5R is an impressive rifle. Forgive my ignorance, what's the difference on the Milspec? And how does one know which they have. Spent some time in a friends 5R and it has me thinking

I have had a 5R since last year,,,really like the rifle,,,its in 308,,they make a 223 & 300 Win Mag also. The 5R is the rifling,,,I'm pretty sure that's the only difference. There are many different Remmys out there,,same stock,,same trigger,,,BBL lengths,,etc. The 5R is a different, only in the way its rifled,,if I'm wrong someone will be along in a bit to help out !! One thing I will say is they are very,,very consistent & clean up very easy also,,,when I finally decide to clean it,,,LOL !!

Pappabear has all three caliber 5Rs.

Friedcheese! Get that gun skim bedded. It's obviously worth having it done. When Pappabear's went for bedding the Riflesmith showed him where the action was just banging around in the stock. Holes were starting to egg out.

If you have a gun that's shooting that well with that shit trigger, put a few buck into it!!
