    This is worth repeating!

i have an aero upper receiver that's similar when i put it together with my aero lower or seekins lower. it goes in 3/4 until i have to really push it all the way thru. then taking it apart i generally use a pin or pin-like tool to remove the rear pin.

I concur, others will complain if their fit was to loose.

I have a Noveske chainsaw upper and it is a pretty tight fit on my SBR lower, this was a cause for some concern for obvious reasons. It initially required a rubber mallet and wooden/plastic dowel to push out the takedown pin (the pivot pin was never an issue); after close to 1000 rounds it has gotten looser but still not what would be considered "normal." Just pressure with my bare hand and a bullet tip will push the pin out now.

I can't find the issue that makes this upper a "chainsaw," so perhaps it was the lug dimension!

Sorry that I am part of the problem with QC. Have you tried different pins? Mil-spec doesn't always mean same size. When I put rifles together I sometimes have to try several different parts because some just fit better due to tolerance stacking. This is the reason some manufacturers recommend buying their rifles complete. Not all pins and lugs are the same size. I've had Vltor and LMT uppers that at first were really tight SOB's. But remember when purchasing more expensive components that they do have tighter tolerances on the average. If you want to see tight try assembing an upper using a new BCM or Noveske receiver, the barrel extension into the those uppers is really tight but supposed to help with accuracy. If your not comfortable with the fit contact Rainier Arms then, they're top notch.

Also I like the fit to be really tight, just because it will loosen some. It may be your pins you might want to try BAD's new pins, I've heard that they go in and out easier.

Ended up having to send the whole thing back to Rainier because when I put the rest of it together I couldn't even pull the charging handle back because it was grinding on the top of the lower. After shipping it back on my dime they told me that because it was bought on their Revolvr app that I couldn't get store credit but because they are Rainier they would take care of me and get a refund through the Revolvr app. I am not really sure how I was taken care of considering I bought a part from them that was out of spec on three different lowers and I couldn't replicate the issue with two other uppers and at the end of the day I have no upper and I am out $10 because I had to ship the part back to them.

But hey, lesson learned, next time I want a quality part I will buy it from a proven company like BCM.

I thought Rainier was a proven company. Am I mistaken on this?
